Gotta love how you Xbox cronies repeatedly try to paint what MS do as being no different to what Sony do, when there is a world of differences between the 2 when it comes to that:
Sony either built their own studios, or selectively bought studios over the time with which they had been having a very strong working relationship, studios which for quite some time already had been developing games only for PlayStation platforms.
Microsoft on the other hand ju...
MyPlayStation Web Features... I don't know what the hell they're talking about...
Cool! Here's hoping it makes good use of my PS4 Pro (and the PS5 ofc). I own the whole trilogy on PS3, but would rebuy that in a heartbeat if enough efforts & love are poured in these remasters.
It must've been hard for the folks at Digital Foundry to acknowledge they were amazed by a Playstation exclusive, lol
I beat it too (on the PS4 Pro) and it's an excellent game, that doesn't reveal fully what it's made of from the get-go. I'd give it a solid 9/10.
The only slight problem, if any, is that it's a very mature game, for a mature audience, it can be really violent, and its atmosphere of unease is so palpable throughout that after clearing it you feel like playing something completely different, with rainbows and poneys, lol
I for one bought Dragon's Crown...
I don't know what kind of gamer you are... my PS4 Pro doesn't get any rest with me, and I'm at a loss at how I'm gonna be able to afford the dozens of PS4 games I have on my wish list on amazon.
The problem with Nintendo is the same it has always been for over 20 years (starting after the Super Nintendo era): only a handful of, admittedly great 1st party games, always the same ones, Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart, Smash Bros...and past that, almost no 3rd party su...
Only in Japan then, pretty much.
Or on Playstation only, in the rest of the world.
Right from the first few hours of playing Killzone on the PS2 back then I always knew they were going to become something special. They always deliver on all fronts, not the least of which the technical one. This will be no different. There will be jaws dropped when people see the game run even on the base PS4 released late 2013, mark my words.
Get a PS4 , PS4 Pro, or PS5 then.
I know right. Jim Ryan indeed needs to be removed from his position as CEO. And fast.
Good luck selling PS5 consoles now if they do that with their whole catalog...
The Playstation business needs to be removed from the hands of the folks at San Mateo and London and brought back to the ones in Tokyo. Like, ASAP.
Great news! I thought I'd get to enjoy some Virtua Fighter goodness when I grab Yakuza 6, but I'm not even sure the VF game in there can be played with an actual full screen 16:9 aspect ratio, so all is good now... if they get a decent online code working, that is. This seems to always be the Achilles' heel of japanese fighters.
Great stuff? Like their plan to bring PS-exclusive IPs to the mobile market? Way to degrade great games.
And if they aim to make "social" the new buzzword at Sony, let's see if they can bring the PS3 app "Home" back to the PS4 & PS5, I say.
" 27,450 concurrent players over the weekend"
And that's deemed a success on that platform? I thought anything less than a million extra copies sold on PC would not warrant porting it over there. Better keep the PS exclusives exclusive to the PS then, I think.
How cool would it be to have remakes of the first 3 Driver games. Especially of Driver 1 & 2, but with on-foot sections like in any open-world game ofc, I'd jump on that.
Not bad but it's all pretty generic heavy metal music and none of those compositions come anywhere close to the original themes, or even the revamped ones from the previous installment, nor do they fit their respective character.
Astounding how sh*tty Nintendo have become as a company. Between that and the S. Mario 3D All Stars debacle, I don't know which is worse. Am I glad I haven't given Nintendo a single cent after getting rid of that useless little gizmo, the Nintendo DS in 2007. The Super Nintendo really was the only one truly great product that company ever made, for me. But then again, its cartridges were horribly expensive, so we know greed is not a new concept over there at the Kyoto headquarters.
That's not even 300 less vertical pixels less on the PS5, 288 exactly. Cry me a river...
I wonder why the horizontal resolution is never mentioned every time in reports like this though. I guess it means it's because it's actual 3860 pixels, but who knows.
If Sony decide to follow more or less the Microsoft route and release PS exclusives to PC, even in a delayed way rather than day and date simultaneous release, they can kiss goodbye to their glory days of selling 100M+ systems...
Even with like a 3-year delay PC gamers will just wait for a PS game they want to be released on PC rather than buy the dedicated hardware for it.
No PS exclusives=no reason to buy a PS. This could very well spell the end of the Playstatio...
If I was too stingy to buy a PlayStation, as a PC gamer I wouldn't have a problem waiting the time it took for HZD or Days Gone to release on PC after their initial inception on PS... like what, 3 or 4 years? Deal. Make it 10-15 years, or not at all however, then I would at some point give in and find the money to buy a Playstation to play its exclusives.
This is a bad strategy when you're a hardware maker. Sony should stick to their guns:"Only on PlayStation&q...
